This was a good short story with an interesting twist on the idea of vampiric existence and legend, as well as vampire/ human interaction. It also included an unusual dose of humanity in the main vampire character, but unfortunately that took too much away from the nature of the character and failed to paint the picture I hoped the author would have intended. It was too 'Twilight-y' for my taste. I did enjoy the obviously fresh take on the existence of the vampires in this story; however, it missed the mark on bringing the necessary element of darkness and didn't flesh out the characters enough to give them all the depth that would have infused this story with enough 'pizzazz' to give it the true wow-factor. Good basis, but it needs more depth.

I couldn't put it down till the end. I enjoyed it fully although horrified of what our prison system is like. I can't wait for another. I've read all of the Dillard series. My husband and I love your books!

I love Furbo so much! One of the best parts is that Furbo sends you barking alerts when your dog is barking. Since we live in an apartment building, I feel horrible when he won't stop barking. Furbo has allowed us to know when he's barking and use the microphone to tell him to stop (and he does!). I also love being able to send him treats during the day. My only complaint is that sometimes it tosses two or three treats at a time.

I'm using it and it does kill spiders but I still have too many showing up in areas that I treated. I expected to see fewer spiders coming back. I suspect they are newborns that I'm having to spray.
