Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is resurrected and would be proud. A reviewer of The Last Moriarty disliked the first book for several reasons, among which was the introduction of new characters. However, this reviewer believes that is the strength and refreshing quality of both books. How fascinating that Sherlock had a short romance in his youth that resulted in a grown-up daughter he never knew he had. Lucy James was introduced to us in The Last Moriarty and what a character she is. Though Sherlock is hesitant to trust her detective skills, she provides powerful insight that her newly found father ultimately has to accept.
