  • Jay Charley - a very good indoor ball

    Everyone knows this is the 'official' ball of volleyball. It's a great ball to play with, moves true through the air, and it's very 'spinable'. The color pattern is great for setters as well; it's easy to see which way the ball is spinning, and how fast. BUT this is a 'hard' ball, so while the hitters [like me] love it, the non hitters/back row players/women almost unanimously hate this ball, preferring a much softer one. In fact of all the nights/leagues I play in, only one league will use this one, all the others use a softer ball.

    If you want an entertaining read and your options are limited, this book gets the job done. However, if you want to learn about Goldratt's "Theory of Constraints", look elsewhere. In the latter case, I recommend Wikipedia & Youtube. Read a few articles. Watch a few videos. In less than an hour you'll get all everything stated in this book, and more. They might not be as "fun" to read / watch as the book, but you'll save yourself a great deal of time, you'll learn more and it costs nothing.

    If you are checking this out to consider a change from Turbo Tax (TT) for the 2015 taxes because of what they did for their 2014 tax programs you may be disappointed with TaxACT (TA), unless they improve the 2015 tax programs considerably. If you have used TT for a few years and do anything at all a bit complex you will definitely be disappointed with TA. If you only need the basics you were probably not affected by the TT scam and still think they are wonderful and you will probably be happy with TA too, but TT still has a better more helpful interview process and when those more slightly more complex issues popped up there was help with them and hopefully there will be again next year.

  • Elmo - The DHEA Breakthrough

    The author has done research on DHEA for years. He is a medical doctor and has made this his niche, He stresses diet and exercise to a great extint. After reading the book, I began to wonder if the diet and exercise would be just as successful to solving the health problems mentioned without the DHEA. I am still not convinced that DHEA is more than just a dietary supplement that alternative health stores are using as another miracle break through drug to keep the cash registers jingling. If it is so great why hasn't there been major testing by major drug companies. I would like to see some factual, verified results from real research. You can search the internet, and come up with the same info that this book has. It just won't sound as convincing this doctor would lead us to believe.

  • JFKennedy - Definitely freshens breath, but is way too strong!

    I've used Listerine and had no problems with that, but this stuff was waaaay too strong! I thought it would get better as I got used to it, but it never did. It worked great to freshen my breath and worked for a long time, but I will not be buying this again. It burned way too much and I dreaded taking it.
