This is an excellent set for a brand new or returning player. I played when I was younger, then took several years off, and purchased this when I decided to start playing again. At under $20, even if you end up hating the game, you're not out very much. Plus, as an added bonus to old players like me, they included reprints of classic rare cards like Shivan Dragon and Sengir Vampire (now an Uncommon), but with the M15 symbol on the card.
Loved the Show and music included with Ringo and his All Starr Band. Would recommend it for all Ringo and Beatle fans.
We have bought one of these for our son since he was little. Even at 15 he still wants one as he has such fond memories of it from childhood. This year we bought our 8 year old nephew one. He loved it!
For $40.00 (purchased from Woot) I can’t complain too much as it is reasonably functional, but not without a few issues.
The game play itself is typical lego for good or for bad. The kids think is awesome. What is NOT awesome is that the game will periodically corrupt the saved game and delete all of the kids progress. This leads to angry small children. So in exchange for 50$ you can anger your children and have several full blown melt downs a week. So far none of our other xbox one games seem to have this problem. I think the issue is that lego developers and WB are fine releasing half finished garbage.
BEWARE! You will end up with a monthly charge on your credit card and unwanted overpriced product on your doorstep. I will never buy this product again. The product itself is mediocre at best and their sales tactics are that of your typical late night, TV infomercial. Go figure.
I wanted to wait a little bit before reviewing this stuff, but I figured - four rain storms later, it's only fair to say that this stuff works.
